Post Christmas

Because it was such a stressful Christmas with being sick and all, we were excited to welcome in a time of relaxation and recovery.
When January arrived we re-implemented our strict budget, I made it a priority to stay home more and enjoy being there (which hasn't been much of a problem) and we got ready for calve season…..an exciting time out here.
Here are some pictures capturing this down time.

Grocery shopping on a budget puts Ace to sleep.
Tucker enjoys an afternoon snack on the couch.

Always fun to play new games from Christmas, and pretend with new toys.

Impromptu trip to Wichita Falls for some clothes for Cooper.
This car was a big help!

Big big news!! Ace is potty trained and was so easy to train. We'll always remember this New Year's Day because that's when he started wearing big boy undies. Tucker snacking again (I hate to put another one of him eating, but he just looks so cute here.)

Playing in their teepee and looking out the 'window'

Phonics time! He's reading so well. I'm so proud of him.
Also pulled out the rice and beans for their machines.

This represents my 3 little blessings so well. Love them more and more.

Of course we have plenty of naps, and try to get creative with supper sometimes.

 Heroes to the rescue!!

Finally getting outside after some cold weather, helping Daddy build fence.

Night with friends over. Always fun to have a house full of kids.

"Jesus replied, 'Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." John 14:23

Winter Storm

We welcomed in 2015 with quite a winter storm, and while usually I make it a point to stay indoors when it's this cold outside, I decided to venture out and snap a few pictures of the place covered in ice. I'm no photographer by any means, but it was fun pretending as I snapped away at our everyday things transformed with icicles. Everything looks pretty with ice hanging from it.

"God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, 'Fall to the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' So that everyone he has made may know his work, he stops all people from their labor. The animals take cover; they remain in their dens. The tempest comes out from its chamber, the cold from the driving winds. The breat o God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen. He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them. At his direction they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them." Job 37:5-12
