Wedding Bells

Wedding bells are ringing in both the Moore and Pitcock families and in November we'll be celebrating together with Merann and Jud and Garrett and Amy! We knew that it was probably coming, since both couples seemed smitten for a while now, but it was still exciting news when the time came. It was actually funny how we found out about the news.
While visiting with Garrett one day he told me that he was going to propose to his girlfriend Amy in the near future. I was excited and anxiously awaiting the news…which got postponed for a couple weeks. Finally the weekend came that I knew he was going to pop the question, so I checked my phone frequently. Then on Friday night I got a text with a picture of a hand with a ring on it. I was confused….the ring wasn't how Garrett described it and the text had gone to Kallie too. What was going on? After a moment I realized that it was Merann who sent the message! What a surprise that was. It was very exciting news and so funny since I knew Garrett was about to pop the question too. Sunday I finally got a text from Amy with their great news. It's not very often that two family members get engaged in the same weekend! Now we're busy celebrating with the couples as they get ready for the big day.
Mere Mere and Popsey had a gathering and we were able to visit with the happy couple, as well as with the Justin Pitcocks, who were on their way to their new home in DC.

We also got to celebrate with Garrett and Amy at GG and Papa's house.

A toast to the happy couple.

We're looking forward to November 8th, when Garrett and Amy get married and November 22 when Jud and Merann say "I Do" (a great day for weddings…our anniversary too).

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
